## Actual Plans For Funding

If this gets a bit of attention, the server bills will quickly start and add up, and without a way to balance that, it's going to be hard. This is because by default, all artists make 100% from their contract. No one takes a cut by default.

A big idea of this project is to build together. That is a huge part of what makes the Contract Wizard so special. How it is made in a way that encourages more stuff to be built on top of it. Maybe the bills of The Contract Wizard's back end servers could be seen as a collective responsibility if many people use it.

It is web3 so no one is restricted to The Contract Wizard, and anyone can build their own front end, or build a front end just for their one contract that they created with the help of The Contract Wizard. I hope to see people build both single sites for one contract in the library, as well as sites that explore the entire library.

The few ways I can think of to bring in something for The Contract Wizard are as follows:

### Contract Wizard

The only current way I can think of making some eth is for the Contract Wizard to charge a bit of ETH for making a contract. Like a "platform fee" or something. It is one time, only when the contract is created, and then after that the contract is managed only by the owner of the contract. The Contract Wizard has no influence over a contract after it has been made.

This fee is necessary to combat spam, as the Contract Wizard's Library needs to be taken seriously. Without a little fee to make a contract, then the library would get crazy with spam.

Over time I am imagining that the platform fee would drop closer and closer to 0, until a sweet spot is found, especially since ZK Rollups are now a thing and soon we will be doing everything in a new world of low fees on eth. Once the Contract Wizard comes to a layer 2, lower platform fees will be a natural next step to enable all artists to create digital originals that can print verified copies.

### Sponsored Curation

Possibly "featured" section or "sponsored" section? Might be a possible way to help the site gain funding is if there were sponsors.

### Including Contract Wizard in the split

This idea is about what extra benefits could Contract Wizard offer an artist if the artist decides to include the Contract Wizard wallet in their split contract. This seems to be the only way to imagine the platform existing into the future and being able to pay for itself as it grows. The only thing is I gotta think of what these extra features are that would be only for content that pays the platform a small cut.

### Donations

An option for Contract Wizard to have sustainable funding is to be transparent about the costs and have donations open, so if people use the site they will see when the servers are hungry for money.

### Grants?

This is basically a zero profit open source charity project so grants could be a good idea. Probably a good project that deserves grants maybe eh?
