Arweave Uploads Page

This page shows files uploaded to Arweave.

5 Categories

The files are separated into categories which are:

  • Audio

  • Files

  • Metadata

  • Manifests

  • Playlists

The Arweave Uploads Page is meant to help creators keep track of the different types of files required to turn collections of thicc metadata into a manifest.

Upgrading Audio and Metadata

One of the main uses of this page is to "upgrade" audio files. Find an audio or local metadata file, click it to open the detail view, and then click "Upgrade Metadata". This imports the file into The Metadata Maker, letting you upgrade it into something with more character.

Local Metadata

Once you upgrade an audio file into metadata and save, it shows up as local metadata in the Metadata section. Local metadata files are marked with the "local" tag so you can visually see the difference.

From there you can continue to upgrade it until you're ready to permanently upload it. Once a file is uploaded it gets a tx_id and can't be changed unless it's re-uploaded.

When you upload a local metadata file it gets the "uploaded" tag so you can tell which ones are safe to delete. This also helps you see that the uploaded file which has a tx_id it's immutable, but the local file is still possible to be edited. This helps you get a feel and understand that Arweave is permanent data, and lets you decide if you want to keep the local file around for future edits possibly.

These pieces of metadata are local and were uploaded. They have new entries with tx_id's. These are safe to delete.

Query Arweave

You can query Arweave through the Uploads Page. Add the files to your library to be accessed with the File Picker in The Metadata Maker.

The button to query Arweave is on the right. Next to the grid/list buttons.

To query Arweave just click the Arweave button on the right side of the top bar. You will then see the files uploaded by your wallet. Filtered to that category, audio, files, metadata, manifests, or playlists. If you want to add a different file just enter the tx_id in the search.

Add any file, search by tx id
