Playlists

Of the Serverless variety

Serverless Playlists are permanent building blocks for decentralized music curation. Instead of algorithms deciding what you hear, you create playlists that work across every platform forever. Curate once, use everywhere. Mix Ethereum NFTs with Arweave uploads, add your own metadata, then share playlists that can't be censored, deleted, or controlled by anyone but you.

Easy To Build On

They're simple enough that anyone can build players or creators for them, opening up infinite possibilities for music experiences.

Enabling Decentralized Curation

Serverless Playlists are a big deal because they take messy NFTs with bad or missing metadata and upgrade them while letting listeners add meaningful tags the artist didn't include.

The tools are here to easily upgrade bare tracks to have images and tags, then organize everything into playlists. Most music NFT metadata isn't properly sorted, so we need an additional curation layer to know genres, albums, and other basics. Playlists and metadata upgrading solve this by cleaning up bare metadata and turning it into thicc, curated collections. This improves the listening and browsing experience exponentially as more people actively curate with a love of music.

Many Use Cases

Serverless Playlists can be used for more than just curation in The Contract Wizard. These ideas can solve problems in other domains.

Spam Protection

Serverless Playlists solve a critical web3 problem: wallet spam. Every web3 game with open wallet support gets flooded with junk NFTs, forcing users to manually curate their collections on every platform. The same tedious cleanup you've done on OpenSea, repeated endlessly. Instead of making each game responsible for filtering spam, users should create curated wallet playlists once and import them everywhere. This preserves web3's open nature while delivering clean experiences across all platforms, letting you showcase your actual collection instead of battling spam in every app.

Instant Audio Library

You can easily integrate a player into your project and have access to all the decentralized curation that's accumulated.

Blockchain Indexing

You can access dated blockchain indexer data using the playlist format. It won't be the most up to date but it will let you load larger lists of known tokens faster than you can think. Curated dated indexing can be used to speed up loading of large lists and provide a safe fallback if the most up to date information isn't available fast enough.

DAMN

Serverless Playlists are an important part in a Decentralized Autonomous Music Network (DAMN).
